Why paperwork decides how fast you are funded

Approval can happen in minutes when a lender has what it needs. Funding happens when every condition of that approval is met, and conditions are almost always documents: identification, statements, a trust deed, a rates notice, a payout figure. The fastest businesses are not the ones with the cleanest books. They are the ones who can produce the right document within minutes of being asked.

The core four for almost every fast loan

    1. Photo ID for every borrower and guarantor: a current driver licence or passport.
    2. ABN or ACN details, which a lender checks against the public registers.
    3. Business bank statements, usually the last six months, ideally shared through a secure bank link.
    4. A clear purpose: what the money is for and how it will be repaid.

    Extra items by situation

Property security adds a rates notice and details of any existing mortgage. Equipment finance adds the supplier's tax invoice or quote. Trusts add the full trust deed. An ATO debt adds a statement of account or the payment plan details. None of these are difficult to find, but chasing them at the last minute is where days disappear. Our guide on documents to have ready for fast funding explains why each one is asked for.

    A tip that saves hours

Put everything into one folder on your phone before you enquire. When the assessor asks, you can send it in a single reply instead of hunting through email. Then start your 60-second enquiry. No credit check to enquire, and a real person will tell you exactly what is still needed.

    Questions about this tool

Do I need all of these documents before I enquire?

No. The enquiry itself takes about 60 seconds and needs none of them. The checklist is for the step after, when a lender asks for evidence. Having it ready is what turns a same-day approval into same-day funds.

Why are bank statements always on the list?

For unsecured and cash flow lending, bank statements are the main evidence of how your business trades. Many lenders can receive them securely through a read-only bank link in minutes, which is much faster than emailing PDFs.

What if I do not have tax returns or financial statements?

Low-doc options lean on bank statements, BAS and an accountant's letter instead. Property-secured loans can also work with lighter paperwork because the property carries more of the weight.

Does the checklist get saved or sent anywhere?

No. Your selections stay in your browser. Print or screenshot the list if you want to keep it.

    Our promises

    No credit check to enquire

Asking where you stand leaves your credit file alone. Any check comes later, and only once you decide to go ahead.

    No spray and pray

Your enquiry is not blasted out to a dozen lenders. One team works it, start to finish.

    A real person, fast

A human picks up your enquiry, usually within minutes in business hours. Accurate answers on the form mean a faster, cleaner match.
